Lamborghini Revuelto’s tested at Italy's Nardó track, outperforming the Aventador SVJ. The Revuelto boasts a 1,001hp hybrid system with a V12 engine and a 7.0s 0-124mph time. It offers a natural driving experience, has an EV Città mode, and a spacious cabin with advanced tech. The dynamic modes provide varying driving experiences. Comparisons to the Aventador SVJ highlight the Revuelto's stability and forgiveness. Lamborghini plans even more exciting models in the future.

Volvo EX30 | Car Buzz

The 2025 Volvo EX30 is a budget-friendly luxury electric vehicle (EV) set to launch in the US. Priced at just $34,950, it's cheaper than competitors like Audi, BMW, and Mercedes. The base model offers 268 horsepower, 253 lb-ft of torque, and a 5.1-second 0-60 mph time, thanks to its 69 kWh battery providing 275 miles of range. The Core version includes Google infotainment, safety features, and more. Higher trims, Plus and Ultra, are available for $38,900 and $40,600, respectively. A Twin Motor Performance model with 422 hp starts at $44,900. Deliveries begin in H1 2024.

Rivian's CEO, RJ Scaringe, notes cost reductions as EV deliveries rise. The company delivered 15,564 electric vehicles in Q3, up 24% from the previous quarter, and produced 16,304 EVs, up 17%. They aim to turn a profit on each vehicle by the end of next year, with an average transaction price over $80,000. Scaringe sees a clear path to profitability and emphasizes the importance of their production ramp.

EVgo, a major US fast-charging network with 3,200+ chargers in 30+ states, is switching to a kilowatt-hour (kWh) pricing model in states where it's allowed. This means drivers pay for energy used, not time. They're also keeping a time-of-use component to promote off-peak charging. Real-time pricing info is available via the EVgo and PlugShare apps, with subscription plans for cost savings.

The engine management light (EML) or check engine light signifies various engine, gear, or emission system issues in vehicles. It's crucial to understand its colors: continuous amber indicates a non-severe issue, flashing amber means an operational problem, while red signifies a severe fault requiring immediate action. Ignoring EML issues can lead to MOT test failures in traditional cars, and electric vehicles have similar warning lights for faults.

This article, featuring Richard Vaughan, an automotive designer with experience at Ford, General Motors, and Rivian, discusses the concept of patina in post-1980 cars (Radwood-era). Patina refers to the worn-in but beautiful look of older cars. Vaughan explains that achieving patina is challenging in modern cars with urethane paint finishes, unlike older cars with acrylic lacquer paint. He also discusses how exterior plastics in newer cars may not age well and that achieving patina in materials like leather and vinyl is unlikely.

The Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) will take place in Doha, Qatar, from October 5-14, 2023, coinciding with the Qatar Formula 1 Grand Prix. Visitors can access both the track and the expo with special packages. Automakers faced challenges with online reveals during the pandemic, and GIMS aims to regain its highlight status with Qatari influence. Lamborghini is among the confirmed attendees, and while no mainstream supercar reveals are expected, remarkable cars like the Mada 9 will be on display. Over 10 days, an estimated 200,000 visitors will attend GIMS Qatar 2023.

The Rennsport Reunion 7 event celebrated Porsche's 75th anniversary. It featured the prototype 356/1 roadster, the first car to bear the Porsche name. This car was built in 1948 in Gmünd, Austria, as Ferdinand Porsche and his son Ferry Porsche were barred from returning to Stuttgart after World War II. The 356/1 used a modified VW Beetle engine and had an unconventional rear suspension setup, making it an interesting piece of Porsche history.
