The updated Mercedes-AMG G63 will feature an optional active roll stabilization system, debuting in mid-2024 as a 2025 model. The system replaces traditional anti-roll bars and offers dynamic control of damping from side to side and front to rear, enhancing ride quality in different modes. He previously convinced Berkshire to invest in BYD, a Chinese battery maker turned EV player. Munger admires BYD's CEO, Wang Chuanfu, for his manufacturing skills and believes he surpasses Elon Musk in that regard. Munger expects BYD to excel in the EV race despite Musk's genius, emphasizing their different investment approaches.

IElectric vehicle (EV) sales are surging, on track to reach 9% of all US car sales, with 1 million EVs sold this year. Globally, 14 million EVs are expected to be sold, notably in China and Europe. However, there's a mismatch between positive trends and issues, such as production delays, charging infrastructure, and political polarization. EV adoption now depends on attracting more price-sensitive consumers and addressing range and charging concerns. As EVs become politically polarized, automakers are left to grapple with ideology-based consumer resistance, and affordability remains a critical challenge in the EV market.

Ford is acquiring the energy startup Auto Motive Power (AMP) to enhance its charging, battery management, and power conversion technology for electric vehicles (EVs). The acquisition is part of Ford's efforts to accelerate EV adoption and improve charging infrastructure.

French car maker DS is integrating ChatGPT, an AI-based program developed by OpenAI, into its vehicles as part of a pilot program. The integration aims to expand the capabilities of DS's Iris voice control suite. Users can ask the car questions and get answers while driving, making it more like a digital assistant. The system can handle tasks like answering questions, translating languages, and summarizing text. The service is initially free and included with new cars for three years as part of the Connect Pack Plus suite. After the initial period, there will be a subscription fee.
