The 2025 Dodge Charger, resembling the 2022 concept, offers electric and gas variants. It features a 100.5-kW battery and a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine. Production begins in mid-2024 in Windsor, Ontario. Starting with a pure-electric powertrain, it offers impressive acceleration, regenerative braking, and charging capabilities. The new Volkswagen Passat Variant, starting at €39,995, boasts cutting-edge features including an intuitive infotainment system, ergonomic seats with massage function, and advanced plug-in hybrid drives with an electric range of 100 km. It offers spacious interiors, improved aerodynamics, and various driving modes. The Passat's design evolution includes LED headlights and a sleek silhouette. Tesla's decision to allow other EV manufacturers, like Ford and GM, to use its Supercharger network in North America signals a strategic shift, potentially generating billions in revenue. Ford's Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning owners can now access Tesla Superchargers with fast-charging adapters. GM also benefits, with access to over 12,000 Tesla fast chargers. This collaboration contrasts with Musk's previous emphasis on Tesla's exclusive charging network. Analysts anticipate significant financial gains for Tesla through environmental credits and charging fees, estimating annual revenue between $6 billion to $12 billion by 2030. Read more.

Toyota is taking full control of Primearth EV Energy (PEVE) to boost EV battery production, responding to increased demand. The acquisition with Panasonic strengthens Toyota's manufacturing capability, with plans to develop a wide range of EV batteries. Toyota aims for its next-gen batteries to offer up to 500 miles of range and 20-minute fast charging, beginning in 2026. Mercedes-Benz introduces its Wallbox EV charger in the US, styled to match its luxury vehicles. The internet-connected charger offers remote functions and OTA updates. Available for free with certain EV purchases, it operates at 240V, delivering up to 11.5 kW. Mercedes aims to enhance its EV ecosystem, offering 100,000 charging piles in the US and establishing 400 Charging Hubs with 2,500 DC fast chargers by 2030. Read more.
